Progressives for Democratic Reform is a group of diverse reformers in and around Augusta/Richmond County whose purpose is to totally overhaul the Democratic Party beginning at the local level. Corruption should never be allowed to stand unchecked, and open, honest, transparent, inclusive leadership should direct all business.

We believe that advancements in science, technology, economic development, and social organization are vital to the improvement of American society. Progress is being stifled by vast economic inequality between the rich and the poor, minimally regulated laissez-faire capitalism with monopolistic corporations, and intense conflict of interest between our elected officials, their campaign contributors, and the citizens they must represent. Thus, creating the need for measures to address these issues. We will act as a driving force in helping to enact a more progressive agenda within the Democratic Party for the benefit of all people. We will also participate in various outreach programs of the Party including identifying progressive voters and spurring increased involvement in electoral politics. Progressives believe that we must promote an educated and politically involved society which uses our government as a tool to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.
